With this course you get instruction from a team of professional skateboarding coaches the has physically taught thousands of children in a camp, group, and private lesson setting. Just because someone can skate doesn't mean they can teach. This course was designed from personal experience helping many students from ages 3-adult enjoy skateboarding. We have coached a variety of personalities, age ranges, and skill levels.
Absolutely! Our lessons are geared with the beginner skater in mind. We want to make sure students are able to absorb the skills of learning all while making the process as simple as possible.
Yes. We provide one-to-one instruction live online and in-person. Visit www.theskateside.com to see all we offer.
We recommend full protective gear, helmet, elbow and knee pads, and wrist guards. You will also need a skateboard. We have professional quality grade skate board equipment at our online store, www.theskateside.com. Avoid going to department stores like Wal-Mart, Target, or Big 5. The quality of the equipment is sub-standard and made cheaply which will give your child a bad first impression of skateboarding.
This course is made for ages 5 and up. Mature 4.5 year olds can also take this course.
